How many times have you stood over a putt with Johnny Miller doing voice over in your head saying "This one's for the U.S. Open"?
One of the best places anyone can do this is on the Donald Ross Memorial at Boyne Highlands. It features 18 recreations of the famous architects best holes from legendary courses, many of which are part of the U.S. Open rota including Oakland Hills, Inverness and Pinehurst #2.

If you really hunger to see how you would stack up in actual U.S. Open conditions check this out:

Golf Digest magazine is currently holding the "What Would You Shoot?" contest. The winner will get to play Torrey Pines the week before the Open begins.  The round will be with 3 celebrity golfers and every shot covered by NBC and watched by a USGA rules official.  Do you think you have what it takes to hold up under the klieg lights?  Better book your visit to the BOYNE Golf Academy now to polish up your game...just in case.

I have visited a couple of resorts with waterparks and a rip zone or flowrider. In ohio it was well maned, offering safety above and below the wave,a third man near the kill switch.Ensuring the rider was aware of essentials, offering suggestions to the rider, which also offers safety.Hand launching littler kids whicj offered additional safety along with a padded top and lifeguard there to assist any wall hits.
Iam sorry to say your guards duty only includes 2 items to blow the whistle when rider is on for the maximum length, and to hit the kill switch if a backwash is going to occur.I witnessed several kids take severe falls near the edge due to a unknowledgable launch,or stepping out into the stream of water,or hitting the concrete slightly sponged area at top of the landing area.If as much attention was given as i saw the walk around lifeguards, who where responsibility checking the water properly(one blonde haired kid and short dark hair lady in particular,)the rip zone would be properly enjoyed, with a minimal degreee of safety.
