The latest Nicholson flick, The Bucket List is a story about two guys diagnosed with terminal cancer who scramble to experience all the things they wanted to do before they “kick the bucket”. It makes you think.
Everyone has their own personal to-do list, but here are a few that are worthy of consideration:
- Be at the chairlift before open and get first tracks
- Run night laps with the “bomb squad” an hour before closing. Run the 6 man until Ski Patrol gives you the boot.
- Ski the glades
- Introduce a child to their first “WAHOO” moment on skis
- Dance to the Jelly Rolls Blues Band in your ski boots (looking dumb is part of it)
- Spend a day at the spa- especially if you are a guy
- Watch the sun set from:
- Your Inn at Bay Harbor suite
- The Links Grill at Bay Harbor Golf Club
- Go to Big Sky in the winter. Ride the Lone Peak Tram
- Attend the Winter Olympics (Cypress Mountain Vancouver 2010)
- Ride Sunday River with a bunch of dudes out of Boston who say things like “Wicked Smaht” and “Wicked Awesome”
- Play Disc Golf
- Hike a ski hill in the summer
- Ski or Ride on Thanksgiving Day
- Play golf with a caddie (coming to the Heather summer 08)
- Play a “sun up to sundown” day of golf
- Go to Big Sky in the Summer
- See Yellowstone
- Fly fish the Gallatin River
- Play the putting course at Deer Lake barefoot
- Kiss someone on a chairlift
- Learn to identify three constellations that aren't "dippers"
- Ski in April
- Play golf during the fall colors
- Eat a meal featuring fresh morels
- Ride the Rip Zone
- Take a picture of Mt.Ranier from the top of Crystal Mountain
- Settle a bet at #18 Heather or #18 Monument
- Witness the salmon or steelhead spawning runs
- Get a face shot of legendary Utah powder
- Get custom fitted for your own golf clubs
- Enjoy a moonlight mountaintop dinner
- Take a powder day from work
- Skip work and go golfing-with 3 good friends
- Play Bay Harbor Golf Club's Links #7 while speaking with an Irish accent (it comes natural there)
- Buy a drink for a guy named Bernie
- Ski a timed Nastar course
- Stay in a penthouse suite
- Play chess on an outdoor life-size chess board
- Go dog sledding
