High Lands

High, but not too steep.

Don't overlook the Boyne Highlands experience when deciding where to settle in for the weekend, the week, or the season. The acres and acres of gentle terrain and beautiful grooming set the table for snowsports success. Sliding of all kinds here are friendly to all abilities and ages, whether you are on a board, a pair of boards, or a tube. There is something here for everyone in the family - and a lot for those of modest experience and ability. But that's not to say that the shredders and hot shots in your party will go unchallenged - there is some terrain for that, too.

Even for skilled skiers and riders, a medium pitch groomer can be more fun than the steeps for a change. Tipping 'em up and laying it down is just a little more relaxing. I was there Sunday carving some effortless arcs, listening to the iPod, and getting a start on my spring tan when I shot these pictures. Cary Adgate - BOYNE SnowSports Ambassador

HI!

We are researching now for a trip next year right after Chrismas. I wondered if there are any parents out there who can comment on both Boyne Highlands Resort and Boyne Mountain Lodge. We have 2 kids they'll be 8 and 5 when we take the trip. They're not really indoor waterpark fans (strange, I know), but it seems like The Boyne Mountain lodge obvioulsy has a lot for kids. Can anyone comment on the difference of ski instruction at both mountains and whether or not they would recommend either place? We're novice/intermediate skiers, so we don't need black diamonds for this trip. Just looking for some feedback.

Thanks!
Darcy

There are tons of skiing lessons and also snowboarding lessons. I have personally been to Boyne Mountain Lodge and it is fabulous! Last time I just went for the lodge. Boyne also has ice skating, pools, hot tubs, restaurants, and neighboring cities that have awesome places to eat and shop. Also to just sit down, eat ice cream, and look at the beautiful views.

Hopefully this helps Darcy!
Sincerely, Sharon
