I’ve just wasted an hour trying to figure out the best way to explain the most ridiculous junior golf equipment deal ever offered. When in doubt, throw in a little hyperbole- except this isn’t hyperbole. This really is the most ridiculous deal ever offered for junior golf equipment- ever. It’s almost criminal.
Got your interest? Let’s break it down:
1. Purchase a set of junior golf equipment at
Boyne Country Sports. Prices range from $99 to $139 depending on the size of the child. Sets include multiple irons, a driver, putter and a really nice stand bag. (This year’s offering is from U.S. Kids. All they do is junior golf and you can tell right away that this stuff is really nice. It’s not just cut down grown-up clubs.)
2. Pay a one time $30 registration fee for the Junior Has a Fit program.
3. Bring the clubs back to any Boyne Country Sports location next year and have the child refitted. If the child has outgrown the equipment you will be credited your full purchase price toward new equipment.
4. If the child has not outgrown the equipment your paperwork will be updated and you can come back a year later to do the same thing.
5. When your child eventually outgrows all junior equipment you will receive a $100 credit toward the purchase of adult equipment.
So basically, you buy one set of equipment and you could get 4 or more new sets throughout the child’s junior golf career. Not bad.
It’s the steal that keeps on stealing.
If some guy proposed running this outrageous program anywhere else the accountants would tar and feather him and then hang him upside down by his toes for a month or two, THEN they would fire him. My guess is that the guy responsible for this has some serious blackmail material on somebody. That OR
BOYNE believes in growing the game of golf by nurturing the next generation of golfers. If money talks, this program is a mouthful.
HEY- What do you care about motives? Just make sure that you get any kids you know into the program and playing this great game.
It would be a crime not to.
