Boyne City MI

The BC Harvest Festival has been postponed due to weather and re-scheduled for October 16 and 17.

The Boyne Area Harvest Festival is returning to Boyne City's downtown with music, crafts and fall produce again this year. The annual event is being held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2 and 3, and is being jointly organized by Boyne City Main Street and the Boyne Area Chamber.

The 100 and 200 blocks of Water Street will again be closed to traffic during the festival to make room for more than 30 arts and craft vendors and produce vendors. A portion of Lake Street will also be closed for the festival. The Harvest Festival also includes music, children's games and inflatable bounces, face painting and a scarecrow-making contest for residents and businesses.

Folk art demonstrations and displays include quilting, felting, spinning, crocheting, tatting and bobbin weaving. Hay rides will also be offered.  A farm market will be selling a wide variety of apples and other fall harvest items including pumpkins, squash, apple butter, jam, honey and cider.

The festival runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Some of the musical entertainers include:

Kristin Glasgow (contemporary/soft rock & country)
TNT (classic rock & country)
Pinky Lee (rock duo)
Kelly Shively and Michael Lee Seiler (Celtic/folk/rock/blues)
The Kowalske Family Band (folk/country/gospel)
More to be announced.....
