The Heather named "America's Top 50 Courses for Women" by Golf Digest! 

 What does it take to become a top course for women?  A female friendly design, amenities, courteous staff, programs, and an atmosphere that appeals to women.  Among the criteria for this award was: at least one set of tees less than 5300 yards, at least two sets of tees with USGA Slope and Course Ratings for women, minimal forced carriesfrom the forward tees, and run-up areas to most or all greens. 
The Heather was ranked #26 in America and was the highest rated course for women in the state of Michigan!
