NASTAR

Interested in racing against family and friends, improving your handicap after each run, going for that platinum medal?  Head to Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain for NASTAR racing!

Developed by SKI Magazine in 1968, NASTAR (NAtional STAndard Race) is the largest recreational ski and snowboard race program in the world. Our mission is simple - to provide a fun, competitive and easily accessible racing program that, through the development of a handicap system, allows racers of all ages and abilities a means to compare their race results to other competitors across the country regardless of when and where they race.

It’s the ideal opportunity for some friendly competition.  And remember, it’s already handicapped!

  • $6 for two runs - ages 21+
  • $5 for two runs - ages 20 and under
  • $1 for each additional run
  • $10 for unlimited runs per day
  • $99 BOYNE NASTAR Season Pass for unlimited NASTAR runs all season at Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain

Boyne Highlands

Racing is on Leprechaun. Registration is at the start haus at the top of Leprechaun.

  • Registration Times: Saturdays and  Sundays, 10:30am - 2:30pm
  • Race Times: Saturdays and Sundays, 1pm - 3pm
                            Thursdays from 7pm - 8 pm 
  • Racing begins Tuesday, December 27, 2011
  • NASTAR racing concludes for the season at Boyne Highlands in mid March .

 

Boyne Mountain

Added Session: Boyne Mountain will host an additional NASTAR race on Friday, February 17, 20012 from 11am-2pm on North Boyne.

Racing is on the newly designed North Boyne slope. Registration is on top of North Boyne in the shack just north of the start haus.

  • Registration Times: Saturday 10am-1:30pm & Sunday 9:45am- 12:30pm
  • Race Times: Saturday from Noon-3pm Sunday from 11am-2pm 
  • NASTAR Race Clinics: Saturday and Sunday  from 11am-Noon. The cost is $25.
  • Racing begins Saturday, December 31, 2011
  • NASTAR racing concludes for the season at Boyne Mountain in mid March.
