Burton Learn To Ride

Our SnowSports Academies have teamed with Burton to offer snowboarders the latest in equipment and instruction to make learning to ride easier than ever. Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain are proud to have been chosen by Burton as the only Learn to Ride Centers in the eastern Great Lakes Region, offering programs for both adult and kids to learn to snowboard.

Burton Learn To Ride Teen & Adult Programs

Teens and adults alike can learn to snowboard with BOYNE's Burton Learn to Ride program.  In its second season at BOYNE, this is much more than your normal two hour lesson.  New snowboarders are provided with Burton gear designed to enhance the overall snowboarding, as well as teaching methods to make for an enjoyable and successful first day. The equipment for beginners is tailored to maximize each individual's learning potential and smaller class sizes mean more individualized attention. BOYNE also includes it's Learn to Ride Guarantee, all day equipment rental and a beginner area lift ticket for the day with this lesson.

•  $60 per person

Burton Learn To Ride Teen & Adult Daily Lesson Time

• Registration at the SnowSports Academy desk is required for all lessons. The desk will direct you to the meeting location for your lesson. If you have pre-registered, please arrive at the SnowSports Academy desk ready to ski/ride 20 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson meeting time. If you have not pre-registered, please allow 30 minutes to register for the lesson and arrive at the meeting location. If you require rental equipment, please allow an additional 30-45 minutes to be properly sized and receive your rental equipment. Late arrivals at the meeting area will be re-scheduled to the next available lesson time.
• The morning session meets at 9:45 AM in the SnowSports Academy meeting area and begins promptly at 10:00 AM. The morning session concludes at Noon.
• The afternoon session meets at 2:15 PM and begins promptly at 2:30 PM.  The afternoon session concludes at 4:30 PM.

Burton Learn To Ride Kids Program

Designed for aspiring young riders ages 7-12, this program helps provide this age group of kids the skills they need in order to learn to snowboard successfully.  The Burton Learn to Ride Kids Program is much more than your normal two hour lesson.  New snowboarders have access to Burton gear designed to enhance the experience.  Our BOYNE Snow Pros use fun teaching methods to make your child's first day of snowboarding lessons both enjoyable and successful. The equipment used for beginners is tailored to capitalize on each individually's learning potential, while smaller class sizes allow more individualized attention for each student. Lessons in this program also include BOYNE's Learn to Ride Guarantee, access to equipment rental all day and a beginner area lift ticket for the day.

Burton Riglet Park Experience

New for 2012/13, this is much more than your normal kids lesson.  In conjunction with Burton, we have designed Riglet Park teaching areas to ensure even the youngest snowboard enthusiasts have the proper terrain to have fun as they learn to snowboard!  Our SnowSports Academy has developed a special one hour lesson to maximize their first time on snow that combines with Burton snowboard equipment to make learning easier.  Burton Riglet Parks provide the best learning experience for young riders! These lesson meet at 10:00AM, 11:00AM, 2:30PM and 3:30PM each Saturday and Sunday and during select holiday periods. Riders must arrive at the meeting location 15 minutes prior so that each lesson can begin promptly.
