Equine Journey

Equine Guided Learning (EGL) is the use of interactive exercises that engages people in experiential learning by partnering with horses. Experiential learning is "learning by doing" with reflection. Studies prove people learn best through direct experiences. This emerging and dynamic field employs the horse's innate ability to mirror our intentions and behaviors. Through these experiences, we expand our "non-verbal" awareness and learn valuable tools that aid in our personal and professional  growth.

Workshop Includes:

  • Full day equine experience
  • Lunch and snacks
  • Journal and course material
  • Round trip transportation from The Inn at Bay Harbor to Bay Harbor Equestrian Club
  • $40 credit towards spa services at The Spa at The Inn at Bay Harbor

Space is limited, so reserve your place today by contacting The Spa at The Inn at Bay Harbor or calling 231.439.4046.

Make it a weekend adventure! Relax and revive at the luxurious Inn at Bay Harbor by calling 800.462.6963. Spa and hotel packages are also available.

This workshop does not require previous horse experience or knowledge.  All horse activities are experienced from the ground with our facilitators to preserve the safety and integrity of the horse and participant.  Appropriate attire is recommended (no open toe shoes please).  Do bring layers of clothing to remain comfortable throughout the day both indoors and outdoors.  For more information, please visit EquuSpirit Partnership.
