About Maureen Abood
Ms. Abood's work has been published in the Washington Post, Saveur, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, NPR's The Salt, and elsewhere. She is also a cook and a photographer.
A few years ago, she followed a dream and left a job to attend culinary school. She then moved to northern Michigan, the place of her childhood summers in Harbor Springs, to write and cook and launch her blog. The most recent chapter of her story includes a special man, a special book, and exciting plans to continue to sharing stories and inspirations of Lebanese cooking.
When not writing from a sunny little room perched on Little Traverse Bay, Ms. Abood writes about food and family... and love from her happy Lebanese kitchen in East Lansing, Michigan. Her words and pictures continue to remind us that Lebanese food and culture are delicious and beautiful, as lovely as "Rose Water and Orange Blossoms" suggest.
