This position requires a very careful adherence to well-defined work where repeatable results are needed. The work is highly precise in nature and requires a very strong attention to detail. It is vital for the work output to be very high quality, with correct results, time and time again. Checking and double-checking is often necessary; individuals performing the job must be patient and conscientious. Both the content and the presentation are important; all work must be highly polished. There is little ambiguity in this job. It is very clear what needs to be done, and what the expected results are. This clarity will come either from the company's management, or from established professional disciplines and processes. The established procedures and processes must be followed very closely; there is little room or necessity to modify them. Much of the work can be accomplished by working at a steady, even pace. There is much consistency and familiarity from one day to the next. It is generally feasible to plan large blocks of work ahead of time. When work duties do change, there is ample foresight and time to prepare. The work is best accomplished working as an individual, without a great dependence on other people or "politics" for results. The work is helpful in nature; providing support and/or service to others in an environment free from competition. Interacting with customers requires a professional, formal manner where the focus is on completing the task pleasantly and correctly.

Providing escalation support, collaborating with local resort IT teams, and maintaining the integrity of the corporate data center are the primary objectives of the position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Server backups using Microsoft Data Protection Manager (DPM)

  • Microsoft updates using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • VMWare implemented with shared storage (SAN)

  • Microsoft Active Directory, group policy, DHCP, DNS

  • Microsoft Exchange e-mail

  • Microsoft Office 365

  • Internet web filtering

  • Public domain names and certificates renewals

  • Update documentation

  • Maintain hardware/software inventories to ensure compliance

  • Maintain PCI compliance and perform remediation tasks

  • Assist the IT Business Solutions team with design and implementation of new technologies and special projects

  • Assist other IT teams in the proper deployment and management of server and client operating systems.

  • Analyze and isolate infrastructure issues

  • Maintain standards for server installations and applications

  • Check for security breaches and poor data management practices

  • Use vendor support as required

The E-Commerce Reservation Agent will assist the E-Commerce Administrator with all tasks related to online bookings, as well as promote and develop growth with Inntopia. This position requires outgoing and friendly interaction with a wide range of people. Communication is almost always a "selling" rather than a "telling" nature. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. There will be a fair degree of variety from one day to the next, especially with regard to personal interactions. There will be several "pots on the fire" at once, therefore the job requires one to shift from task to task quickly, and maintain a strong sense of urgency to keep everything going smoothly. Attention to detail is critical.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Maintain/assist all aspects of booking engine and hotel interface technology, including maintaining all imagery, updating concierge bulletins and online package descriptions

  • Oversee online owner portal

  • Oversee Vacation Rental By Owner and other online booking opportunities

  • Ensure properties are displayed appropriately and effectively on marriot.com, boyne.com, and other viable web sites

  • Assist with Inntopia booking/cancellations/strategies

  • Provide and maintain eCommerce reports

  • Maintain online groups in World XA in coordination with Sales

  • Oversee Online Travel Agent/Global Distribution System programs for growth and opportunities

  • Cross train as reservation agent and provide call center assistance as needed

Job Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge and experience with web browsers and online booking engines.  Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills are essential.  The ability to close on sales and the ability to work with senior management, franchise partners, internet service providers, and corporate customers.  Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and able to work and develop services on their own.
