9 core values. 9 healthy habits. And a lifetime of fun.
The First Tee Program is designed to provide a fun, engaging introduction to the world of golf for children aged 5 and older. During these popular courses, trained coaches and volunteers integrate Nine Core Values (honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment) along with Nine Healthy Habits into the lifelong game of golf - helping to perpetuate traditions that have long served the Boyne Highlands golfing community.
The program enrolls children in Certifying Classes, allowing for a natural progression from one level to the next. As students gain experience, they move from Player to Par to Birdie to Eagle - accumulating confidence along the way. Students may enroll in multiple sessions and camps. The cost includes a $35 annual membership fee plus a session fee (noted below). Scholarships are available, and applications will be provided upon request. Programs take place at Boyne Highlands, unless noted. The schedule is subject to change. No class July 4. For information, visit www.thefirstteenorthernmichigan.org or call 231.526.3168.
