Crooked Tree Golf Club Receives Facelift from Arthur Hills
Work began last fall at Crooked Tree Golf Club in Petoskey when renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills was contracted to redesign Nos. 16, 17, and 18 to make the holes more playable. Hills and his associates at Hills & Forrest-International Golf Course Architects have made significant changes moving greens, reshaping fairways, and completing bunker work. The newly redesigned holes are expected to open on June 20, 2014. Crooked Tree Golf Club was originally designed by Harry Bowers and opened in 1991. The course is a favorite in the region for its challenging elevated terrain and blind-shots, yet also offers plenty of rewards with impeccable greens, centuries-old hardwoods, and breathtaking scenic vistas of Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay.
