Resort Ranks among Top 5 Bike Parks in the Midwest by MTBparks.com Riders' Choice Awards
Scenic views to exhilarating challenges, Boyne Highlands offers mountain bikers options for every riding level and style with a vast network of trails spread throughout its 4,000 acres grounds. The depth and variety of mountain biking, along with its lift-serviced Bike Park, have earned Boyne Highlands its third straight Top 5 Award from MTBparks.com, an authority on mountain biking in North America.
Boyne Highlands' expert-level Bike Park offers 13 trails modeled after popular North Shore designs with naturally-cut trails, banked turns, narrow single tracks, and jump features. The trails continuously evolve with new features, including two new tabletop-style jumps added for this summer on the Satori trail. For those not quite ready for the fast paced downhill riding, the resort offers a Skills Park providing novice mountain bikers with training grounds to perfect skills on features like berms, rollers, skinny bridges, a teeter-totter, ladder features, and small drops. Boyne Highlands also offers more traditional riding with seven cross country loops totaling nearly 15 miles of scenic and wooded trails.
Adult and junior mountain bike rentals are available for two-hour, four-hour, and all day rentals.
The Bike Park is open from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, noon to 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Single day lift access passes range from $16-26, two-day passes are $40, and a summer season pass is also available for $170. Winter 2015/16 BOYNE passholders and resort lodging guests, enjoy free access to the lift and trails.
