Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain to Host Zany St. Patrick's Celebrations

MEDIA PHOTOS: Krazy Daze:

Springtime brings a bit of zaniness to the slopes at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs and Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls as the resorts celebrate all that March brings - blue skies, warmer temperatures, softer snow, and fun events!

Two long-standing traditions are Krazy Daze at Boyne Highlands, a family-friendly St. Patrick's Day-themed event, and Carnival Weekend at Boyne Mountain where there's outrageous fun and parties galore for adults.

At Boyne Highlands' Krazy Daze, March 18-19, there's live entertainment from The Pulse on Friday night in the Zoo Bar, plus a full day's worth of fun for adults and kids on Saturday.  Children can participate in a range of on-hill competitions including the kid's Jump Competition at 11 a.m., Nastar Race starting at 11:30 a.m., and Silly Slalom at 1:45 p.m..  There's also face painting from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and inflatables to jump and play at the base of the slopes.  A crowd favorite, The Ski Over The Pond, begins at 3 p.m. with plenty of splashes.  An awards presentation for the events takes place at 4:30 p.m. in the Day Lodge, and The Get Krazy Party in the Zoo Bar kicks off at 4 p.m. and features Metro Rockway performing until 8 p.m. and The Remedee from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.  For more information or lodging reservations, visit or call 866.759.3530.

Racers, be sure to stick around on Sunday, March 20, for the "Chocolate Cake" Downhill with World Cup-style ski racing open to all ages and abilities on two courses, Leprechaun and Olympic.  Registration is open now.

Boyne Mountain's Carnival Weekend, March 18-20, is well-known for being the biggest and best spring celebration in the north.  Skiing and snowboarding are at the core of this weekend of jollity with plentiful music, parties, and costume contests adding to the lively scene. Friday gets the festivities warmed-up with the Nerdvana 90s Band in the Snowflake Lounge from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.  Saturday's On-hill Party from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Victor Warming House is the place to be with an adult costume party that's pure entertainment and winners take home 2016/17 BOYNE Passes!  Stop by the Village Party near the Mountain Express for an outdoor cookout, Dos Equis specials and the The Breakfast Club 80s Band from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and fuel up at the Food Truck Rally with great grub from Happy's Tacos, Littleman Bites, Pigs Eatin' Ribs, Pita Cruiser, and others.   Dip into the Foggy Googles Pool Party in the Clock Tower Lodge Pool from 3-7 p.m., and cap off the night with DJ Bill da Cat in the Snowflake Lounge from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Too White Crew in the Civic Center from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.   Sunday's Last Man Standing Breakfast and Bloody Mary Bar in Stein Eriksen's from 8 to 11 a.m. will have you walking straight in time to plunge into the Slush Cup.  Skim, soak or spectate on lower McLouth starting at 1:30 p.m.

A lift ticket or BOYNE Pass and proper skiing or snowboarding equipment is required to access on-hill events.
