Thank you to everyone who came out for the first weekend of the season! We loved welcoming everyone back to the slopes and reconnecting with old friends. Despite an inability to make snow in the past week due to warm temperatures, our incredible team was able to open Heather on Friday, and then add Olympic on Saturday. We are extremely grateful for the skills of our snowmakers and groomers! The slopes will remain closed during the week, with a target to reopen on Friday, December 11. In the meantime, do your snow dance!

The day we've all been waiting for is here! We are excited to announce that Boyne Highlands will kick off the 2015/16 season with skiing and snowboarding on Friday, December 4! Although Mother Nature has presented challenges getting this season underway, thanks to our exceptional snowmaking team, the Heather Express high speed chairlift will give skiers and riders access to Heather. The slopes will be open from 9am to 4:30 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday and lift tickets are $25 for all ages. Kids 5 and under ski free with an adult. For all you terrain park enthusiasts, we'll have two rails and one box feature set up on upper Heather. The Slopeside Lounge and Cafeteria will also be open for all your food and beverage needs.
"We are excited to open for the 2015/16 season and are very thankful for the efforts of a dedicated snowmaking team and the advanced technology in our Boyne Low-E fan guns," said Mike Chumbler, president and general manager of Boyne Highlands Resort. "Opening would not have been possible if it weren't for both!"
The resort will close after Sunday and our snowmakers will continue to make snow at every opportunity with the target of reopening the slopes Friday, December 11. Check our conditions report for the latest updates on snow conditions.◂ Return to News & Updates
