The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
The holiday season is full of fun, laughter and high spirits and we welcome you to join us for all of that and more this weekend! We have several holiday traditions taking place and we are proud to continue them - from cookie decorating, a Christmas Eve visit with Santa, and more.
Everyone knows one of the best parts of the holiday season is the food! Christmas Eve and Christmas Night we have a wonderful buffet for family and friends to come enjoy. Both nights, the dining begins at 5:30pm in the Main Dining Room of the Main Lodge. Our mouths are watering as we think a
bout the delicious options being served. Find the full menu here. Other dining options for the weekend
include the Slopeside Lounge, Zoo Bar, Main Dining Room, Country Club of Boyne, and the Cafeteria.
Christmas Eve brings excitement and cheer with a visit from Santa Clause in the Main Lodge Lobby. H
e arrives at 7:15pm to greet those at the scrumptious Christmas Eve buffet and then will meet with children in the Main Lodge for tre
ats and goodie bags. The 8th Annual Blessing of the Skis and Snowboards takes place at 11am behind the Main
Lodge and will be followed by a contest for the oldest pair of skis and snowboard, youngest skier and boarder and the oldest skier and boarder. Young ones and the young at heart can take part in cooking decorating in the lower level of the Heather Highlands Inn on December 23 and 24 from 4-6pm. Who doesn't love a holiday cookie?
Starting on Friday, December 23, through January 7, lifts will be spinning 9am-9pm. This gives you plenty of time to get in the last turns of 2016 and get ready for 2017. Early season conditions have been fantastic compared to prior seasons and we are excited for that to continue through the season.
Off the slopes there is something for everyone! The Adventure Center will be open and ready to reserve your spot in one or more of our many adventures. Fly through the trees on the Twin Zipline or the full Zipline Adventure Tour, slow things down for a relaxing Horseback Trail Ride through northern Michigan trails, or even get a unique view of the slopes from the cab of a Pisten Bulley SnowCat during a groomer ride. Reservations for all of these activities can be made by calling the Adventure Center at 231.526.3835.
It is easy to say friends and family will be kept busy from sun up to even after the sun goes down. It is the most wonderful time of the year and we love doing everything we can to make it better. We look forward to spending this holiday weekend with you!
