New Year's Eve: Reflecting on the Past and Looking Forward to the Future

New Year's Eve is a special day for everyone and it becomes even more special at Boyne Highlands Resort. It is an annual celebration that brings together tradition, family, reflection and looking forward to new beginnings.  These have always meant a great deal to us but they ring a little louder in our hearts this year.

It is our pleasure to invite you to join us in a festive night of looking back on the past, embracing the future and spending precious time with all those that you love. As many know, if you come to visit us you become part of a family here and there is no better way to bring in the New Year than with all those who make it special. Our guests are who make it special to us.

Our joyful celebration begins on the slopes with a day full of skiing and riding! Make your last turns of 2016 the best ones by cruising down smooth corduroy, maneuvering through glades and shredding the terrain park. Lifts will start spinning at 9am stopping at 9pm as we get ready for the next stage of our celebration.

At 9:30pm you can view the Torchlight Parade from the base of Heather as our Ski Patrol and Ski School instructors carry on the tradition of lighting up the slopes as they snake down South Challenger to Heather run. It is an enchanting sight to see. As they finish the parade, stick around to see a spectacular display of fireworks being lit from the top of the slopes. As we stand together with, "oohs" and "ahhs," the beautiful colors will decorate the sky and we can feel a small tingle of our inner child, happy to be experiencing the simple joys of life.

Once the show in the sky ends we move on to the real fun stuff! Adults 21 and over move to the Zoo Bar for live entertainment, hors d'oevure, champagne toast and cash bar. Yankee Station is set to rock the stage 9pm-1am with your favorite classic rock and blues. So, throw on your party hat and get ready to dance 2016 into the past and start 2017 with a goodtime. Lodging guests receive free entry but all are welcome to join for a $5 cover.

Teens and young adults can bring in the New Year with friends at the Teen Party located in the Day Lodge from 10pm-12:30am. DJ Sunshine of Pluister Entertainment will be playing the hottest hits from 2016 and more. Complimentary for ages 12-20 years old, those attending can dance, play games, enjoy snacks and watch the ball drop at midnight.

After ringing in the New Year, rejuvenate at The Spa with the Winter Warm Up that includes a 50 minute relaxing hot stone massage and your choice of a manicure or pedicure for $175. This is only valid December 30 through January 1, so be sure to call 231.526.3846 to schedule yours!

We are excited to continue traditions with you and start new ones. We look forward to seeing you New Year's Eve and through many years to come!

Sincerely,

Makenzie
