Spend Memorial Day Weekend at Boyne Highlands

Memorial Day Weekend is a time when we gather with family and friends and take part in activities that we will remember forever. It is the first weekend that really starts summer off with a bang! With all of the flowers blooming and seeing lush shades of green everywhere we look, being outdoors this weekend is priority number one in northern Michigan.

Due to the endless amount of outdoor activities at Boyne Highlands, this is the place to be this weekend! During the summer we are the go-to golf destination with our four breath-taking championship courses. All of our courses are open and waiting for some swinging, driving, putting, and FUN to take place! If you are looking for some adventure this weekend, look no further. Not only is this weekend special due to Memorial Day, but it is the opening for our many Adventure Center activities! Those include:

Northern Michigan is definitely the place to be for Memorial Day Weekend. Many towns surrounding Boyne Highlands Resort host different activities in celebration of our cherished holiday.

Harbor Springs Memorial Day Festivities

Downtown Harbor Springs is filled with beauty, history, and things to do for the whole family. Harbor Springs hosts a Memorial Day Parade that starts downtown and ends on the waterfront with a ceremony honoring those in the military that have died in the line of service.

Petoskey Memorial Day Festivities

The Top of Michigan Community Marathon/Half Marathon/10K starts off the festivities on Saturday starting in Charlevoix, going through Bay Harbor and Petoskey, and ending in Harbor Spring. On Memorial day, a parade begins at 10 a.m. by the Mitchell Street Market (formerly 7-11) and continues along Mitchell Street and ends in Pennsylvania Park at the gazebo. After, there will be a memorial service that includes speeches, wreath placement, music, a salute, and taps.

Mackinaw City Memorial Day Festivities

Saturday, May 27 is the 14th Annual Mackinaw Memorial Bridge Run. This is followed by the Memorial Parade, the largest in the state, held downtown Mackinaw. To end the night off with a bang, a magnificent fireworks display will take place over the water!

If you are in need of a place to stay this Memorial Day Weekend, Boyne Highlands Resort is offering an awesome lodging special, starting at $119 per night! Check it out: http://www.boyne.com/boynehighlands/deals/memorial-day-weekend-getaway

I know with all of my family coming into town this weekend that we will be taking part in most of the awesome festivities around the area! Whether it's ziplining at Boyne Highlands or watching one of the many Memorial Day Parades, we are sure to have a blast!

Looking forward,

Abby
