We're re-opening the slopes this weekend on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 from 9am to 4:30pm for the final skiing and riding of the 2013/14 season.  Our grooming crew is putting our new winch cat to good use during the next few days moving snow to provide the very best coverage and conditions for this weekend!

Horseback Trail Riding

Guided Trail Rides

Saddle up! Horseback riding at Boyne Mountain is a special way to get outside and experience the natural splendor of northern Michigan. Guided trail rides begin at the Boyne Mountain Stable, and take riders on an equine adventure through some of the resort's most remote, beautiful terrain.

Stables are located off the resortʼs Deer Lake Road, on Reserve Drive next to the red barn.

  • One hour rides - $49 per person
  • Two hour rides - $84 per person
  • Riders must be at least 8 years of age
  • Children must be able to sit unassisted on a horse
  • Waivers must be signed by all riders or by parent/guardian if 17 or younger

Pony Rides

For younger riders, first-timers, and those not quite comfortable with full-sized horses, our pony rides are the perfect alternative. Join us for a ride at the Boyne Mountain Stable, which is located just off Deer Lake Road.

  • 15 minute rides - $25 per person
  • Must be able to sit unassisted on a horse
  • Waivers must be signed by all riders or by parent/guardian if 17 or younger

Winter Trail Rides

Interested in taking a snowbound tour of the resort from horseback? This is your big chance. We offer guided winter trail rides all year 'round, including winter. So bundle up and we'll see you at the stable.
 
Arrival
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled ride time for proper helmet fitting and completion of waiver and release forms.  This ensures that the ride begins on time.

Dress
Trail riders are advised to wear long pants and closed-toe/heel shoes.  A leather shoe with a heel is best.  Each rider is required to wear a helmet which will be provided.  Riders wearing shorts and/or sandals will be asked to reschedule.

Cancellation
We must enforce a 24-hour cancellation policy.  Reservations canceled within 24 hours of ride are charged 50% of the price of their scheduled ride. No shows are charged the full price of their scheduled ride.
