Full Conditions Report

Dos Equis Rip, Pitch & Roll

Boyne Mountain Driving Range

The Rip, Pitch & Roll (RPR) is a new golf event for this summer with a focus on FUN! The RPR is a golf skills challenge for golfers 21 and older held during an outdoor Happy Hour on the Boyne Mountain Driving Range. Say What? Check out the details below.

What is Rip, Pitch & Roll?

  • Rip: This is the driving portion of the skills challenge where participants will hit 3 drives, any drive landing in the prescribed landing area will receive points
  • Pitch: Each competitor will hit 3 pitches from 3 separate predetermined areas (20-60yards), each pitch will receive points based on how close it finishes to the hole
  • Roll: Each competitor will hit 3 putts from 3 separate predetermined areas (short, medium and long putt), each putt will receive points based on how close it finishes to the hole

Okay, I'm interested but what else will be going on?

  • Outdoor Bar set up on the Boyne Mountain Driving Range with Happy Hour pricing on Dos Equis Beer
  • Music will be playing before, during, and after the competition (no need to be quiet because this is not your ordinary golf event)
  • Additional games of skill for special prizes from the event sponsors
  • A portion of the entry fees to benefit The Harbor Cup fund raising efforts for charity
  • Multiple divisions (detailed below)
  • In addition to top finishers receiving awards there will be prizes for best golf outfit/costume for both men and ladies (the goofier the better) as well as drawings for prizes from the event sponsors

Are there separate divisions?  And, what is the entry fee?

  • Professionals, $30: Separate divisions for men and ladies, cash purse to be determined
  • Amateurs, $20: Men 49 and under, men 50 and older, ladies 49 and under, ladies 50 and older

What do I get for the entry fee?

  • Entry into the coolest golf event in Northern Michigan
  • 1 drink ticket to be redeemed during the event for a Dos Equis draft beer or soft drink
  • Event gift for each participant
  • Entry into drawings for prizes from event sponsors, Boyne gift cards, etc.
