4th Annual Boyne City Triathlon - Duathlon

Peninsula Beach Park - Boyne City

A beautiful venue, incredible cause, and a significant prize purse await you!

Course Description

This course took our breath away the first time we saw it. Athletes will start out swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Charlevoix before skimming the coastline on their bike and passing through town on their run. Words do not do this race justice as this is building to be THE destination race of the year. Watch for more information on the extra flair that comes with this event, such as a post race meal provided by local food trucks, live online broadcast of the race from multiple cameras, finisher medals, etc. Last year this race brought you one of the largest cash prize purses in Michigan and plans are in place to match that again this year.

Watch the event website and Facebook for updates as details are confirmed.

Race Distances

  • Sprint Duathlon: Run 5km - Bike 20km - Run 5km
  • Sprint Triathlon: Swim 750 meters - Bike 20km - Run 5km
  • Olympic Triathlon: Swim 1,500 meters - Bike 40km - Run 10km

Funds raised from this event support Team Lucky Seven, Inc. and its mission of 'Racing to Fight Brain Disease'.  In the first two years, $11,000 was granted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for the express purpose of neurological research.  In 2013, the funds were directed to MS research and in 2014, athletes voted to fund Alzheimer's research.
