4th Annual Boyne City Triathlon - Duathlon

Peninsula Beach Park - Boyne City

A beautiful venue, incredible cause, and a significant prize purse await you at the 5th Annual Boyne City Triathlon-Duathlon on Sunday, Sept. 3 at Peninsula Beach. Meet 4-time US Olympic Triathlete Hunter Kemper and this course will take your breath away the first time you see it. Athletes will start out swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Charlevoix before skimming the coastline on their bike and passing through town on their run. Funds raised from this event support Team Lucky Seven, Inc. and its mission of 'Racing to Fight Brain Disease'.

Race Distances 

  • Sprint Duathlon: Run 5km - Bike 20km - Run 5km
  • Sprint Triathlon: Swim 750 meters - Bike 20km - Run 5km
  • Olympic Triathlon: Swim 1,500 meters - Bike 40km - Run 10km 

Funds raised from this event support Team Lucky Seven, Inc. and its mission of 'Racing to Fight Brain Disease'.  In the first four years, $16,500 was granted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for the express purpose of neurological research. Funds have been directed to research in MS, Alzheimer's and ALS.
