Boyne Highlands & Boyne Mountain
Boyne Falls, Mich., July 30, 2007 - Significant convention and lodging improvements totaling over 2.5 million dollars have been completed at two of BOYNE's Michigan resorts, Boyne Highlands located in Harbor Springs and Boyne Mountain located in Boyne Falls, including extensive remodeling and refurbishing, enriched room amenities and elegant furnishings.
At Boyne Highlands, the second stage of renovations recently wrapped up in the resort's premier hotel, the Main Lodge. The first stage was completed in 2006 and included the installation of bracket-mounted 27" flat screen televisions and the luxurious Boyne Bed in each suite. The highly-praised Boyne Bed is an exclusively made sleep system fit with a plush comforter wrapped in a crisp white duvet, abundant fluffy pillows and soft cotton bedding; comforters and pillows are from BOYNE's Solace Collection and available for purchase at Boyne Country Sports stores in Novi and Bloomfield Hills as well as the resorts. With the completion of the second stage of renovations, guests can now enjoy modern coffee brewing units, highly efficient heating and air conditioning systems, stylish furnishings in the tower lobby common areas and fully remodeled lobby lavatories.
Several Boyne Highlands convention facilities, including those in the Heather Highlands Inn and Convention Center, have been freshened with richly-designed wall coverings and carpet. Also in the Convention Center, cutting edge audio equipment has been added to the Blue Room and Green Room and the Tailgate Room lavatories have been fully remodeled. In total, there's just over 31,500 square feet of convention space that can accommodate groups up to 600 people.
At Boyne Mountain, the Lower Level of the Convention Center has been entirely reconstructed to tie in the Swiss-Austrian theme carried throughout the resort including the Convention Center's Upper Level, which was remodeled in 2006. The Lower Level has been outfitted with solid pine doors, wall coverings, trim and base and has recessed lighting and wrought iron accents; hand-painted murals and antique ski and golf equipment will complete the new look. The Lower Level features dividing walls allowing for up to seven breakout rooms or can remain an open and spacious area for groups up to 300. Complete audio and visual capabilities including new drop-down projection screens are available in almost all areas of Boyne Mountain's 37,000 square feet of flexible event space. The Boyne Bed has been introduced in two additional Boyne Mountain hotels, the Clock Tower Lodge and Edelweiss, completing the installation of the new beds in all hotel accommodations, including the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa.
Rounding out BOYNE's full-service Michigan resorts is The Inn at Bay Harbor - A Renaissance Golf Resort located in the community of Bay Harbor along the stunning shores of Little Traverse Bay with just over 7,500 square feet of event space. The Inn opened for business in 1998 and recently ranked #8 among the "Top 100 Golf Resorts" by Conde Nast Travers' Annual Reader's Survey.
