Boyne Falls, Mich., December 13, 2007 - The Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa at Boyne Mountain in Michigan was selected by readers and named among the prestigious picks for "Top 50 Ski Hotels" in Conde Nast Traveler's 2007 Ski Poll. The hotel received the #42 spot and was the only property listed from the Midwest.
The affluent readers of the internationally distributed travel magazine were asked to evaluate 235 North American ski hotels they had visited in the past three years. Ski hotels were rated excellent, very good, good, fair, or poor on the criteria of location, rooms, service, dining/food and facilities. Criterion scores, which represent the percentage of respondents rating a hotel excellent or very good, were averaged to determine the final score.
The Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa was ranked before the Lodge & Spa at Breckenridge of Colorado and followed Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa, also of Colorado. Fellow Boyne Resort hotels, the Summit at Big Sky at Big Sky Resort in Montana and the Grand Summit Resort Hotel at Sunday River in Maine were also honored to be among the list.
"Being recognized by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler and the only Midwest hotel to make the cut is a true testament to the first-rate experience we provide our guests from premier amenities and conveniences to our commitment to exceeding expectations," said Phil Jones, resort accommodations manger.
