Boyne Falls, Mich. - Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls is offering enthusiasts one final hurrah for the 2013/14 winter season. The resort is reopening slopes this weekend for skiing and snowboarding on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Boyne Mountain is reopening after the conclusion of daily skiing on April 20, and is the only ski area in Lower Michigan still offering skiers and snowboarders the chance to hit the slopes.
The resort's grooming crew is putting their new winch cat to good use moving snow to provide the very best coverage and conditions for this weekend. The resort plans to offer up to 20 trails and 180 skiable acres served by two chairlifts - the high-speed six person, Mountain Express, and four person Meadows.
Lift ticket prices include the option of a $39 two-day ticket good for Saturday and Sunday, or a $39 one-day Ski & Splash ticket with access to the slopes and the indoor adventures of Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark. Teen lift tickets are $34 for a two-day ticket or one-day Ski & Splash ticket, and Juniors are $29 for a two-day ticket or one-day Ski & Splash ticket. Ages five and under, and 80+ are free.

For those skiers hankering to make turns in May, check out Boyne Mountain's Hemlock Open on May 3 when the resort celebrates the end of winter and the start of summer.
