Don't Be Left on the Porch, Run the Dirty Dog Dash at Boyne Mountain on June 8

BOYNE FALLS, Mich. - Go tooth and claw with Boyne Mountain at the 4th annual Dirty Dog Dash, a 3.1 mile track of tough, mountainous terrain with plenty of obstacles thrown in on Saturday, June 8.  Look to climb over hurdles and up sand dunes, run through mud, crawl under fencing, and slip and slide down the mountain's side before crossing the finish line.  Participates can register as individuals or gather a wolf pack team of four or ten to get discounted entry fees.  Pre-registration is now open at

Howl at the moon with a post-party celebration for those who defeat the mountain and conquer the Dirty Dog Dash.  Live music, refreshments, chow, and an awards ceremony follow the race.

"Dirty Dog Dash is all about getting dirty, having fun, and embracing your inner beast," said Dan Turcott, events professional at Boyne Mountain Resort.  "We award prizes for those who go out of their way to have a good time with spirit and costumes, and also for overall speed."

Race participants must be at least 18 years of age and spectators are welcome.  Pre-registration is open now with discounted rates through June 4.  Individual entry is currently $45, four-person wolf packs are $140 and ten-person packs are $360.  A portion of each Dirty Dog Dash entry fee is donated in support of Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors.

Special event lodging rates are available at Boyne Mountain Resort with hotel accommodations starting at $89 per night.  For reservations, call 800.GO.B OYNE and mention Dirty Dog Dash or visit
