What's New with BOYNE Golf - New Programs, Packages and Accolades

Boyne Falls, Mich., February 26, 2008 - BOYNE's 2008 golf season brings continued course enhancements, valuable packages, accolades and the return of the caddie program. Golf at BOYNE has never been better!

BOYNE reinstates the "Classic Golf Experience" - Caddy service begins on The Heather.
Boyne Highlands' Heather course is proudly offering the return of caddies in 2008. The Heather, designed by highly acclaimed architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. (completed in 1966), is a classic parkland layout ideal for walking. Resort guests and golf aficionados will surely enjoy the caddie experience by taking a walk back in time and experiencing the game the way it was meant to be.

In addition to the caddie program, guests can also take a forecaddie during a golf round. The fundamental difference between a caddie and forecaddie is that a caddie and player walk together and a forecaddie runs along with players who are in a cart. Both caddies and forecaddies assist golfers in many ways during a round by carrying clubs, reading greens, club selection and yardage, raking traps, cleaning clubs, and tending the flagstick, all in order to make the golf round and the BOYNE experience the best it can be.

Forecaddies are a standard service from 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays from June 14-August 31. The forecaddie fee is $15 per person and caddies are $35 per person (gratuity not included) and require advance reservation.

BOYNE launches new Gr8 Escape package and other offerings.
BOYNE golf packages are best known for their quality and value. For 2008, BOYNE has re-formatted its most valuable golf package, Super Five Golf Week, under the new name Gr8 Escape Golf Vacation (Gr8 pronounced "Great"). Including similar offerings, the Gr8 Escape Golf Vacation offers unlimited golf, breakfast and dinner daily, lesson options, golf tournament, cocktail parties, and much more. A five day Gr8 Escape package starts at $835 and the new three day package is from just $535.  In addition to the Gr8 Escapes, BOYNE guests can upgrade all golf packages to single occupancy in a hotel room for $20.

Members of BOYNE's popular loyalty program, BoyneRewards, pay only a twilight fee beginning at 11:00 AM Monday - Thursday on the Moor, Monument, and Crooked Tree Golf Club courses all season.  It's free to sign up!

BOYNE continues course renovations to maintain exceptional quality.
BOYNE's golf course renovations continue in 2008 with enhancements to the nationally acclaimed Bay Harbor Golf Club.  The driving range has been expanded to provide additional space for driving and teaching areas; new tee boxes have been added to select holes as well as the continuation of bunker renovations highlighted by the addition of tour-grade white sand on the Quarry course. Bunker sand upgrades were completed on The Links in 2007. Bay Harbor Golf Club has partnered with GPS Industries to offer yardage systems on all carts. The new GPS systems equip golfers with accurate yardages to the pin, fly-over views of each hole, measures pace of play standards, offers group and tournament scoring as well as food ordering service.

Other BOYNE course improvements and upgrades include bunker renovations with tour-grade white sand on the Donald Ross Memorial course at Boyne Highlands as well as irrigation upgrades on The Alpine at Boyne Mountain and the addition of a new fleet of golf carts at Boyne Highlands and Bay Harbor Golf Club that are 30% more efficient than previous carts.

BOYNE garners national accolades from leading golf publications.
Reserve a tee time, grab the clubs and head to BOYNE to experience some of the best golf in the world as declared by leading golf publications including Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure GOLF, Golf Digest, and Golf for Women, among many others.

Golf for Women magazine recently honored Boyne Mountain among its picks for the "25 Best Family Golf Resorts" and also named The Heather to their esteemed list of "Top 50 Courses for Women."  PGA Magazine distinguished The Inn at Bay Harbor - A Renaissance Golf Resort as one of the "Great Golf Resorts of the World" and Michigan Golf Course Owners Association honored Bay Harbor Golf Club as the "2008 Michigan Golf Course of the Year."
