Spring Events Abound at Boyne Mountain Resort


Celebrate spring on the slopes with a slew of events from Boyne Mountain Resort!

Kids' Festival Weekend - Kids Rule the Mountain!
Gather the family and head to Kids' Festival Weekend on March 13-15. Friday kicks-off with a Welcome Party from 5 to 7:30 p.m. with face painting and magicians.

Saturday highlights include breakfast in your PJs with Fritz, Avalanche Bay's mascot, a snowman building contest, Village Party with a cookout, snow bar with kiddie cocktails, balloon twisting, and live entertainment from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a Splatmaster paintball event open to ages four and up with 12 target practice shots for $5.  Kids can also try their hand at painting a canvas with a professional artist during Cookies & Canvas from 2-4 p.m. in the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa.  Reservations are required by calling 231.549.6860.  Saturday evening features a Family Après Ski & Dance Party in Stein Eriksen's from 4-6 p.m. and a Kids Tubing Party with music and bonfire from 5-7 p.m.

On Sunday, head to the slopes to compete in a variety of fun races for ages 4-20 including the Silly Slalom, Seal Slide, Ski Race, and Egg Race. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Skier Services building, and awards take place following the events at 3 p.m. Also on Sunday, kids' mini spa services are just $10 each at Solace Spa from 1 to 5 p.m. During the weekend, kids can also launch into the sky with extreme dual air jumpers, a bounce house, rock climbing wall, inflatable obstacle course, and multi-station super trampoline and families can join in horse-drawn sleigh rides, bonfires and s'mores, story time, and family movies.

Ski & Stay with lodging, lift tickets, and breakfast starting at $131 per person, per night, plus kids ages 8 and under sleep, ski/snowboard, and eat breakfast for free, and Juniors ages 9-15 are only $40!  

Parties Galore During Carnival Weekend
Boyne Mountain's Carnival Weekend, March 20-22, is well-known for being the biggest and best spring celebration in the north.  Skiing and snowboarding are at the core of this weekend of jollity with plentiful music, parties, and costume contests adding to the lively scene. Friday gets the festivities warmed-up with DJ Bill da Cat in the Snowflake Lounge from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. 

Saturday's On-hill Party from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Victor Warming House is the place to be with an adult costume party that's pure entertainment and winners take home 2015/16 BOYNE Passes!  Nearly every establishment at the resort offers a party with free entry to ages 21+.  Start with the Wig & Crazy Hair Party in the Trophy Room Pub & Pizzeria from 3-6 p.m., then dip into the Foggy Googles Pool Party in the Clock Tower Lodge Pool from 3-7 p.m., join the Snowflake Lounge's Après Ski Party from 4:30-8:30 p.m., before capping off with a DJ in the Snowflake Lounge from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and The Breakfast Club, an 80s tribute band from Chicago, in the Civic Center from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.   

Sunday's Last Man Standing Breakfast and Bloody Mary Bar in Stein Eriksen's from 8 to 11 a.m. will have you walking straight in time to plunge into the Slush Cup.  Skim, soak or spectate this crowd favorite on lower McLouth starting at 11 a.m.  

Party on with a lodging package including lift ticket and hot breakfast buffet from $143 per person, per night.

A lift ticket or BOYNE Pass and proper skiing or snowboarding equipment is required to access on-hill events. 

Michigan's Spring Break Destination
You don't have to leave the state to score big family fun this Spring Break - just head to Michigan's largest indoor waterpark, Avalanche Bay at Boyne Mountain Resort, where there's a daily line-up of offerings to entertain all ages.  Family disco and movies, story time, bonfires and s'mores, live entertainment, wagon rides, zipling, and tubing, are just a few of the activities planned.  And with a base of over five feet of snow on the slopes, you can ski and splash with fantastic conditions expected well into April. 

Spring Break packages valid March 27 through April 12 for a family of four include hotel lodging, Avalanche Bay access starting at 4 p.m. the day of arrival and all the next day, and hot breakfast buffet start at $269 per night. 

Egg-static for Easter
Easter Weekend brings its own egg-stra special fun during the weekend of April 3-5 including Easter egg coloring, jellybean and coloring contests, brunch, story time, and an Easter egg hunt with juggler and prizes.
